​Tips for the Absolute Beginner

  • We have a class for absolute beginners on a Monday evening at 18.15 pm.  If you can't attend this we recommend you start with the all levels Hatha classes.

  • If you want to practice astanga which we recommend you do, we have a beginner class on a Wednesday morning at 11.30 am with Emily which we recommend you attend for about 6 weeks before moving on the Mysore classes at 9.30 am on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday with Jo.

  • You don't have to be flexible to do yoga, in fact, if you are not flexible, that's more of a reason to do yoga!

  • Yoga isn't just for women; real men do yoga too!

 

  • Yoga can be a powerful, physical practice as well as a gentle physical practice; choose the right style of class for you, we have them all here.



  • Whatever size, shape or age, if you start at the correct level, yoga is for everyone.

 

  • If you have an injury or illness, you can still practice yoga.  The teacher will modify the practice to suit your needs.

 

  • ​If you have never done any yoga before, start with one of the Hatha Yoga Classes.  The teachers will advise you from there what the best class is for you.
